Bristol City Women are offering a limited number of local girls’ clubs the opportunity to become an official Sister Club.
The FA has launched a new Sister Club Programme ahead of the new FA Women’s Super League 2016 season. More than £100,000 has been invested by the FA into the programme, which aims to drive girl’s participation at grassroots level and attendances at FA WSL matches. Bristol City Women were one of eleven successful bids to run the programme from March to November.
For the exchange of a fee, grassroots clubs can gain access to match tickets, player appearances, coaching sessions led by Georgia Evans, camps, mascot spaces, and so much more.
Bristol City Women’s midfielder and Welsh International Georgia Evans who will be running the coaching sessions for the Sister Clubs commented: “The Sister Club programme is a great way for Bristol City Women to develop even stronger links with girl’s clubs and inspire the next generation of players in Bristol and the surrounding area.
“I am looking forward to working directly with our new Sister Clubs and I know the rest of the players are looking forward to welcoming them at our games throughout the season.”
