Bristol Sport websites relaunch

The Bristol Sport group of clubs have today relaunched their official websites, providing supporters with a fresh and fully responsive offering ahead of the 2017/18 season.

For the first time in 16 years, Bristol City has its own bespoke website, launched following significant supporter input.

Opened up in Beta mode to City fans last week, the new official website has already received a huge amount of positive feedback.

Bristol Rugby and Bristol Flyers have also taken on the new look from today, meaning rugby and basketball fans benefit from the extensive flexibility of the websites.

Andrew Billingham, Bristol Sport’s chief executive, said: “It was vital that these new sites evolved to match supporters’ needs. This includes quicker access to content, purchasing tickets and merchandise, watching videos and all of it needed to be mobile responsive, something which couldn’t be achieved on the old Bristol City site.

“The Bristol Sport sites attract 9m visitors collectively over a season and it’s important we continue to improve the fan digital journey, as ultimately it will help boost revenue streams for the clubs.”

Bristol Sport head of digital Richard Pepper said: “We’re delighted with how the new sites look and we hope supporters are just as pleased.

“I’d like to thank the fans who took part in our website working group, as well as everyone who responded to the surveys to help shape the new sites.

“It's now our own platform and we’ll strive to continually evolve and improve for our supporters.”

Bristol Sport has worked with Bristol-based agency Gibe Digital to develop the new digital platforms for each club, as well as the revamped Bristol Sport site.
