First International Artist Confirmed To Play At Ashton Gate Stadium

Ashton Gate Stadium will play host to singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum on Thursday, 6th October as the headline act of The Prince’s Trust’s annual Red Dinner.

The 27-year-old, who is a Prince’s Trust Ambassador, is the first international artist to perform at the ‘new’ Ashton Gate.

This year, the dinner will have a ruby theme in recognition of the youth charity’s 40th anniversary and funds raised on the evening will help support unemployed young people in the South West.

The night starts with a champagne and canapés reception - followed by a sumptuous four-course dinner and live auction. The auction includes a number of exclusive prizes including an incredibly rare and valuable ruby donated by the fine jewellers George Pragnell, a family that has created jewellery masterpieces for royal family for generations. The evening will finish with a live performance from Jamie Cullum.

More than 600 guests will be in attendance at the dinner, which aims to raise over £150,000 and continue The Trust’s work in the South West, helping young people into employment, education or training.

Jamie Cullum said: “As an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, I have met a number of inspiring young people who have overcome extremely tough circumstances to find their dream job or set up a business.

“It’s amazing to think that the charity has made a difference to more than 825,000 young lives – not to mention their families and communities too. I’m delighted to be able to give something back with my performance at the Red Dinner.”

Andrew Billingham, CEO of Bristol Sport, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the Red Dinner here at the newly redeveloped Ashton Gate Stadium.

“As an organisation we’re passionate about supporting the local community and The Trust’s work with young people is inspirational. We want to make this year’s Red Dinner the biggest and best one yet.”
