Bristol Sport has appointed Sky News presenter Lisa Knights as Chief Communications Officer for the group.
Bristol Sport manages the commercial interests of its stable of sports clubs including Bristol City FC and Bristol Rugby.
As Chief of Communications Lisa Knights will head up the media teams from each of the clubs and oversee all communications output. CEO Andrew Billingham said “I’m delighted to have someone of Lisa’s calibre join us. She has worked for all the major broadcasters including BBC, ITN and Sky. Her breadth of knowledge and contacts across the media industry will be a huge benefit to our team as we grow to build both a national and international presence in the commercial sporting world”.
On her appointment Lisa Knights said “It is a fantastic opportunity to join Bristol Sport at the start of its journey. Bristol Sport has huge ambition and to be a part of the vision to improve participation and access to sport in Bristol and beyond is extremely exciting. The £45m stadium rebuild is of course a significant part of that but also how sport is watched and participated in is crucial to our success. I look forward to the challenges that lie in store!”
Bristol Sport is part of the stable of sports companies owned by Stephen Lansdown.
