Elliott Bennett is confident Bristol City will not be overawed when they host the Sky Bet Championship leaders at Ashton Gate on Saturday (12.30pm).
Table-topping visitors Hull City come into the game on the back of five straight league victories without conceding a goal, having kept the bulk of their Premier League squad from last season.
But Bennett, relatively experienced at 26, believes a young City team still new to the Championship have nothing to fear against the Tigers.
“We’re under no illusions – it’s going to be a tough game on Saturday,” he told Bristol City Player HD.
“There’s no better opposition to be playing than the league leaders. We’ve got nothing to lose.
“We’ve got to remember Hull have only just been relegated and have got some seasoned Premier League players in their squad.
“But that’s not to say that fazes us in the dressing room. Once you go out on the pitch it doesn’t matter what you’ve done in your career.
“We’ve just got to go out there, enjoy it and try to come away with three points.”
Bennett, on loan from Norwich City, is well aware that his new team-mates are familiar with the pressures of looking down on their rivals from top spot – something he thinks could help them against Hull.
“The lads have been brilliant with me – they’re a really good bunch,” he added. “Last year they were at the top and were the big scalp for the rest of the teams in that league, so it’s no different.
“They know how it feels. You’re under a lot of pressure to stay there because that’s what everyone wants to do.”
