On Wednesday, September 15th, City welcomed more than 17,000 supporters for their Sky Bet Championship clash with Luton Town, while the following evening, the stadium welcomed 700 guests for the black tie-themed Bristol Life Awards Dinner.
On Friday night, Bristol Bears kicked off the new Gallagher Premiership season against Saracens – and Pat Lam’s side were roared on by more than 19,000 supporters in BS3.
And the jam-packed week was signed off in knockout style with some live boxing in the Dolman Stand concourse, as nearly 500 people attended the ‘Guts & Glory’ event.
Ashton Gate Managing Director, Mark Kelly, said: “This was a fantastic week for the stadium and a wonderful example of our ability to host multiple, very different events in such a short space of time, with staff working across all four and transforming the venue.
“After such a long and challenging lockdown period, we’re all so proud to see the stadium thriving once again.
“Led by our Executive Head Chef, George Opondo, Ashton Gate delivered more than 2,000 three-course fine dining meals over three consecutive evenings – in the current landscape of post-Covid and the difficulties faced in the hospitality sectors this was an incredible achievement.”
