Players, coaches and sponsors attended the exclusive business networking breakfast event in the Heineken Lounge, with City Women Head Coach Lauren Smith, alongside midfielders Jasmine Bull and Grace Clinton.

Also joining the panel was was former England International netball star Eboni Usoro-Brown (nèe Beckford-Chambers).

Usoro-Brown, who played professionally for 17 years, competed at four Commonwealth Games, winning gold in 2018 – spoke about the demands of juggling a professional netball and law career and the experience of having a baby as an elite athlete.

The event was hosted by Group Communications Director, Lisa Knights and featured a Q&A segment with the sporting stars.

“It was great to hear from Lauren, Jazz, Grace and Eboni and their insight into how women’s professional sport is ever-evolving. It was particularly poignant that the night before we had welcomed the Lionesses here and celebrated their success in front of a sell-out crowd, it really underlines how far women’s sport has come and the increasing commercial revenues that are being attracted into women’s sport.

“Companies are engaging with women’s teams more than ever and to hear these inspirational athletes and coaches talk about their lives and particularly the level of integration that is now going on between men’s and women’s teams is hugely positive.”
