Tanya Oxtoby’s side, who haven’t played at BS3 since 2016, will face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, September 7th (3pm KO).
Ashton Gate Managing Director, Mark Kelly said: “We are excited to be able to once again host Bristol City Women at Ashton Gate Stadium this September. Following on from the success of the Women’s FIFA World Cup we look forward to fans joining us for their season opener against Brighton.
“With the start of the women’s season falling during the international break for City men, we hope that supporters will take advantage of the opportunity to watch their female counterparts competing in the top flight in first class facilities.”
Bristol City Manager Tanya Oxtoby added: “It’s fantastic that our season opener against Brighton is going to be played at Ashton Gate. I think this highlights the strong connectivity between the men and the women’s side of our club and I know the girls are really excited to be playing at such a brilliant stadium.
“We’d really love a big crowd to come out and support us, and we can put in a big performance to start the season with a win.”
