Gender Pay Gap Statement

Ashton Gate Stadium, as a company with more than 250 employees, has carried out gender pay gap reporting in accordance with The Equality Act 2010.

2020/21 report: 

The data included in the report represents that of Ashton Gate Stadium only, it does not relate to Bristol City Football Club, Bristol Bears Rugby, Bristol City Robins Foundation, Bristol Bears Community Foundation and Bristol Sport Foundation.

Ashton Gate Managing Director, Mark Kelly, said: “At Ashton Gate Stadium, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone is welcome, and to ensure that we have a healthy balance of gender diversity across all aspects of the business.

“We are constantly striving to remove any gender pay gap and have made good progress over the last few years to drive down the gender pay differential by 50%. Three years ago the average pay gap rested at 12% - this year it has been reduced to 6.4%. It shows we are moving in the right direction and will continue to strive for gender parity.”

In order to produce the Gender Pay data, Ashton Gate was required to carry out six calculations that show the difference between the average earnings of men and women:

  1.            Mean gender pay gap
  2.            Median gender pay gap
  3.            Mean bonus gender pay gap
  4.            Median bonus gender pay gap
  5.            Proportion of males and females receiving a bonus payment
  6.            Proportion of males and females in each quartile band.
