She is set to make the journey from her home nation of Belgium to take part in this year’s charity fundraiser, inspired by her favourite football player’s arrival at Bristol City Women and raising money for Bristol Sport Foundation.

“It all started in October 2017 when I first visited Bristol to see my favourite Belgian football player, Julie Biesmans, who plays for Bristol City Women,” said Justine.

“I saw her play several times with the national team, but really wanted to check out her new club Bristol City WFC.

“To cut a long story short, I completely fell in love with the city and the football club. I’ve been to five games now and was at Bristol City FC twice.

“So, football is the main reason I came to Bristol, but my other hobby is cycling.

“I started following some Bristol related accounts on Twitter and Instagram. That’s how I found out about Break the Cycle in December 2018. I immediately asked my cycling buddy if he was up for it and a few days later, we subscribed for the silver route.

“After cruising around quite some miles in the city on a rental bike, we’re really looking forward to discovering Bristol on our race bike.

“I’ve chosen to fundraise for Bristol Sport Foundation because I think they’re doing a great job in sports development in Greater Bristol.”
