Bristol City Robins Foundation and Bristol Sport Foundation (BSF) will hold a charity fundraising event at the new Robins High Performance Centre (RHPC). The event, running between 6-9pm on Wednesday 11th May, 2022, will see mixed-gender teams compete in a 5-a-side tournament to win the top prize of hospitality for 10 people at a Bristol City Game.

Ben Breeze, BSF Chief Community Officer says: ‘Our calendar of fundraising events throughout the year, raise vital funds that enable us to continue our work in some of the most deprived communities across Greater Bristol. These events are all about coming together, having fun, and raising money for a worthy cause – not to mention the amazing prizes up for grabs.’

Entry cost per team is £755 and you can enter a squad of up to 10 players. The games will be played as 5-a-side matches with rolling substitutions. There must be at least two men and two women playing on the field at all times.

Alongside BSF, money raised from the event will be going towards the important work of Bristol City Robins Foundation. As the official charity of Bristol City Football Club, Bristol City Robins Foundation utilise the inspirational power of football to build relationships with hard-to-reach young people across Bristol.

Dan White, at Bristol City Robins Foundation says,

‘We are delighted to be able to bring this event to the new Robins High Performance Centre this year as part of the Celebration of Sport week. The money raised will help to support our disability football provision throughout the City. Participants from our disability football sessions will also be getting the chance to play at the RHPC during the Celebration of Sport week, a fantastic opportunity for them to see what it’s like train as a professional footballer at this flagship facility.’

Kristoff Young, BSF Head Coach and Event Co-ordinator says,

‘As a BSF Head Coach delivering our programmes out in the community, I see first-hand where this money goes and the impact it has in giving young people and their families the opportunity to fall in love with sport, teaching them the tools to lead active, healthy, happy lives. As well as being a Head Coach, I plan and organise our fundraising events. We’re really looking forward to this football fundraiser after the fantastic turn out at this year’s netball and basketball events.’

Ben continued,

‘Over the years we’ve established great support and grown strong partnerships with local organisations and businesses who get behind these events and make them such a success. This is a social tournament, with an emphasis on having fun, team building and networking with other like-minded people, whilst raising money for two fantastic causes…all with a little healthy competition thrown in the mix.’
