The association will see a commitment by the Championship club to enhance the work that the Bristol City Community Trust already does in the area with the newly opened FIVES Soccer Centre, near Knowle.
Bristol City vice-chairman Jon Lansdown said: “The football club is passionate about delivering community projects and we look forward to help develop the children’s coaching programmes, social inclusion projects and school holiday football camps at the centre.”
Ben Ferris, director at the South Bristol Sports Centre, added: “We’re proud to be able to announce this partnership with City and I look forward to seeing us deliver some of the best football services in the city.
“Following the opening of our new FIVES Soccer Centre this summer, with lots of teams already participating in the leagues and loving the surface, the new link with the club will really help drive participation in the area even further.
“We currently have leagues available every evening of the week on the highest quality football surfaces in Bristol, so for those who love playing football, the pitches are perfect.”
The South Bristol Sports Centre has six state of the art 4G FIFA Standard artificial pitches. For more information about joining a league please contact Ben Ferris or click here.
The First BCCT holiday camp will be held at the centre during the October half-term – parents wishing to enroll their children should contact the Bristol City Community Trust on 0117 963 0636 or email communitytrust@bcfc.co.uk.
