Bristol Jets will welcome last season’s champions, Birmingham Lions to the SGS Wise Arena on Monday night in their first Home fixture of the 2016/17 AJ Bell NBL season.

Having picked up three league points in their previous two outings (one away to Team Derby and two versus Suffolk Saxons) they will be going in search of their first match night win on Monday, January 9.

Building on a strong performance from the last match night back in December, Jets have named a formidable team spearheaded by captain and local boy Chris Coles.

Mizuki Fujii, London 2012 Silver Medalist, returns to action and will play alongside Emily Westwood in the women’s doubles, who will then double up again with Ben Lane in the mixed doubles.

Alex Lane, who missed out on the last match night through injury, will fight it out in the men’s singles while captain Chris Coles and Richard Eidestedt will join forces once again in the men’s doubles.

Coach, Rebecca Pantaney told “We cant wait to play our first home match”.

“The home support will play a huge part in our success in our first season in the NBL. We want them to make as much noise as possible and really get behind us.

“We’ve had a relatively successful start to the season and come close in many of our games. I’m sure with the encouragement on the fans we can get our first win across the line.

“The Wise Arena is a fantastic sporting venue which myself and the rest of the team cant wait to make our home”.

Tickets are available online on the Bristol Sport website as well as on the night at the SGS Wise Arena.
