Bristol’s Sarah Hunter captained the side who beat their Irish rivals 8-3 in wet and windy conditions at Twickenham Stoop stadium.
A well-worked line-out secured the ball for England in the dying stages of the game allowing substitute Izzy Noel-Smith to drive over the line for the only try of the match.
Bristol Ladies had an impressive four players in the England Squad for the autumn Internationals including Sarah Hunter, Izzy Noel-Smith, Amber Reed and Katie Mason as well as Claire Molloy in the Irish women’s squad.
