During Big Green Week, which starts this Saturday, June 6th and runs until June 21st, the city’s streets will be filled with two wheels rather than four.
On Sunday, June 14th, Ben Breeze and the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation will embark on a 110-mile charity ride from Ashton Gate Stadium for Break The Cycle 2015, to raise funds for young people in need.
Now in its fifth year, Break The Cycle will feature old friends and rivals, Bath Rugby Foundation and Gloucester Rugby on the ride, with the route encompassing all three clubs.

Bristol Sport’s CEO, Andrew Billingham, said “We are proud to support both Ben and Bristol Rugby Community Foundation in their primary fundraising event of the year. I wish them all the best on the ride.
“It is so exciting that Bristol will host a closed-road event the same week.
“These races have proved hugely popular across the country and it will be very special for Bristol Sport to be a part of the first Grand Prix here in recent memory.”
The event has been driven by Nicola Waterworth, a Bristol-based cyclist with a passion for making cycling accessible to all.
She has worked with Big Green Week and Le Sportif to make the race a reality.
Nicola commented “sport inspires people and can transform lives, the Bristol Grand Prix Race will do just that.
“It is an exciting event that adds greater momentum to #GetBristolCycling.
“I’m really pleased that Bristol Sport is backing us in this venture, and hope that this event will become a mainstay of the national cycling calendar in years to come.”
