Wood finished up 15 under, two better than his closest competitor, Rafa Cabrera-Bello from Spain.

The Bristol-born pro first stormed onto the scene in 2008, coming a whisker away from being the first amateur to win The Open since 1930, finishing fifth and winning the silver award for top amateur.
