Following last night’s heavy snowfall, the operations team have been onsite since the early hours of Friday morning removing snow from the pitch and surrounding areas to ensure a playable surface and safe venue for supporters.
Mark Ashton, Bristol City CEO said: “I’d like to thank the Ashton Gate staff for making sure that the pitch was cleared as quickly as it was and for their hard work in such adverse weather conditions. They are the team behind the team and we can now fully focus on the challenge ahead for the players and coaches.”
Ashton Gate’s Managing Director, Mark Kelly added: “The operations team at Ashton Gate has been working hard since early this morning to ensure that the pitch and the stadium is open for business as usual.
“Based on the current weather forecast we don’t have any concerns over City’s Championship game against Swansea tomorrow going ahead as planned.”
