More than 120 guests attended the event, which saw 20 teams compete for the trophy in the general knowledge quiz that incorporated 13 famous TV shows including, The Chase, Family Fortunes, Only Connect and Name That Tune.

To make the evening more memorable, Richard O’Donnell, Aden Flint, Marlon Pack, Callum O’Dowda, Josh Brownhill and Jamie Paterson joined supporters by entering a team.

Despite their best efforts, Lee Johnson’s players scored 59 points, which saw them finish the evening in sixth position.

Instead, #TeamComms recorded a commendable 71 points, which saw the club’s communications team retain their winning status and become City Foundation quiz champions for the third time in four years.

City Foundation coordinator Billy Bond said: “Last night was a fantastic occasion and it was great to see so many City Foundation members in attendance.

“A huge thanks to everyone who attended the evening and made in such an enjoyable event, particularly the Inquizitors for hosting such an impressive quiz.

“The support provided by our members is truly invaluable. Their membership fees fund some of the Community Trust’s projects, all of which aim to improve lives throughout the City.

“Thank you to all current members for their continued support. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves last night and I look forward to seeing you all again at our annual Christmas event.”
