JLL & Luke Morahan (Bristol Bears)

Bristol Bears star Luke Morahan has embarked on a work experience placement with JLL Property in Bristol, linking up with the firm through Bristol Sport Foundation's Nascence programme.

The Australian wing undertook a week-long placement at the firm's Bristol office, gaining a valuable insight into the industry.

The Nascence Project is Bristol Sport Foundation’s business and community engagement programme, designed to bring business and community together through the life-changing impact of sport.

The Nascence Project provides new and innovative opportunities for local and national business to access Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Continued Professional Development (CPD) for groups of staff or longer-term interventions for High Value Potential individuals.

Women in Property

Women in Property's involvement in the Eagle Project has ranged from sponsorship to promotion.

“Here at Women in Property, we strive to encourage women of all ages to follow their dreams and not be constrained by gender," said Rachael Sherratt.

"It is clear that the Eagle Project has a lasting effect on all participants, giving them skills which will be useful in all aspects of life.

“Inspiring the next generation is something we would implore everyone to find time to do."

Reading Stars

Staff from Womble Bond Dickinson, Santander, Ashton Gate Stadium and Bristol Energy have volunteered as ‘Reading Stars’, helping youngsters aged between seven and 11 practice their reading with one-to-one tutoring on a weekly basis.

The programme is currently being delivered in four Bristol schools – St Mary Redcliffe Primary, Hotwells Primary, Millpond Primary and Birdwell Primary – with volunteers signing up for a six to seven-week term.
