The Lifeskills Centre, on Smeaton Road, Bristol, is a unique facility offering safety and independent living education via a life size, realistic village. The Centre provides an exciting, interactive environment where visitors experience different risky situations, such as a house fire or playing on railway lines, in a safe environment and learn how to deal with them. This allows people to fully understand the consequences of their actions and enables them to make informed decisions in future.
The centre has been supporting people across the West of England area since January 2000. Its programmes are aimed at Year 6 school children, people with learning difficulties, older people and early years practitioners.
