Through the Nascence Project, the Foundation’s business and community engagement programme, HL people will be offered the opportunity to volunteer within the charity’s award-winning and life-changing community programmes.

The HL Volunteering Scheme offers people the opportunity to give time back to the community.

Ben Breeze, Chief Community Officer at BSF and Paul Glanville, the charity’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, were joined at the launch by Debbie Miles from Bristol Learning City, to talk about the benefits of volunteering in the local community on a personal and professional level.

Ben Breeze, Chief Community Officer at BSF, said: “The Nascence Project provides access for Bristol businesses to give back to their local community by volunteering and fundraising.

“These activities not only help to develop HL staff but help our group of charities to support identified individuals and communities in Bristol to thrive and make positive life choices.”

Heather Cooper, Chief People Officer at HL, said: “We’ve long been an admirer of the work that Bristol Sport Foundation do, connecting businesses with great local community projects and helping to mobilise the volunteers needed to run them.

“It’s a really exciting prospect which is getting a lot of interest and we’re delighted to be involved.”
