Fragapane was part of the team who claimed bronze last night after a fantastic performance in their final vault apparatus session.

The 18 year-old from Bristol came to national prominence last year when she became the first British woman since Joyce Cooper in 1930 to win four gold medals at a Commonwealth Games.

GB were out of the medals prior to that session, but three terrific vaults led by Fragapane helped Britain leapfrog Russia into third to claim an historic bronze medal.

The win represents GB women’s best result in a World Championships, beating the previous best of fifth place set in Tokyo in 2011.
