Struggling through the heats with bruised ribs and tyre grip issues, Hall managed to qualify for race one in fourth position.

Forced back into sixth on lap one, Hall recovered to finish third in race one of the Senior Rotax Karting Championships.

The youngster then showed some great pace to move up the field from sixth to claim pole with five laps remaining, before being passed on the penultimate lap, finishing comfortably in second position.

Speaking after the race, the youngster said: “I’m very pleased with the 2 podium finishes and more silverware to bring home to Bristol.

“Despite all of the problems we encountered over the weekend, we still managed to grind out the results”, Hall told bristol-sport.co.uk.

“I am now lying within a few points of the championship lead despite having a blown engine at the first round.

“The next challenge for us is to secure the vital funding required for us to continue my championship challenge this season.”

Hall’s next race will be at Glan y Gors Park on Sunday, June 28th.
