Wickston Wanderers were crowned 2016 champions on Friday, 24th June at Keynsham Town Football Club – and The Lord Mayor was honoured to have attended.
He said: “It was a huge privilege to attend the Bristol Together Championships, a very special tournament encouraging children to cross boundaries and divides across the city through sport.
“Twenty of the 35 wards of Bristol and some from South Gloucestershire represented a variety of faiths and nationalities.
“Watching children working together to play football with such passion and commitment was indeed inspirational.”
