Additional entertainment at Ashton Gate's Drive-In Cinema Series

Following the recent announcement of Ashton Gate Stadium’s upcoming Drive-In Movies, additional entertainment has now been added to the running order.

With four blockbusters Anchorman, Cool Runnings, Mamma Mia and Grease available to watch, you can now enjoy live music, comedy and dance too.

Kicking off the series of movies on Friday July 24th, Anchorman will follow an exclusive set from local comedians Mark Olver and Jarred Christmas for an evening of laughs.

The following night sees the winner of a recent social media vote, Cool Runnings. But before you kiss your lucky egg and enjoy the film, you will be treated to a live DJ set from Paul Alexander, otherwise known as Soultrain. We guarantee you will be dancing in your seats.

Into August, the stadium is treating you to two nights of classic musicals. First of the two, on Friday August 21st, sees Mamma Mia take to the big screen. Before the film, there will be 70s DJ set from DJ Dave from Brunel Events, along with an electric performance from local dance troupe, Streetenvy Dance & Fitness Academy.

“We are super excited to be performing again for the first time since lockdown began in March, especially at such a great venue and mega event in our local community” Streetenvy Director, Simon Barton said.

Finally, on Saturday August 22nd, awesome vocalist Shalana Serafina kicks the evening off before the last film of the series, Grease! Shalana will be treating you to some 50 and 60s classics, as well as some Postmodern covers. T Bird and Pink Ladies jackets optional…

If you haven’t purchased a ticket yet, what are you waiting for?

Tickets are just £25 per car, and there are various refreshment options available, including picnic boxes to really make the evening special. The designated driver will be treated to a complimentary alcohol-free Thatchers Zero on arrival.
