Baroness Sue Campbell hailed Bristol City Women's commercial partnership with Yeo Valley partnership during her headline speech at Bristol Sport's Women in Sport event at Ashton Gate on Thursday (November 22nd).
Campbell also praised the infrastructure of the club as well as highlighting the exciting growth of the women's game over the past 12 months.
Guests at the luncheon also received a presentation from Bristol Sport's Group Head of Commercial Caroline Herbert, whilst also having the opportunity to network following the event.
“The analogy I use is that getting involved (in women’s sport) now is buying the surf board, because the wave is coming,” she said.
“The women’s team sports are doing phenomenally well – women’s sport generally is doing really well – but team sports are having a golden era.
“And for me, working in partnership with business, there is huge potential to grow the sport and the business at the same time.”
