Breeze invited to speak at Westminster Sport Summit

The Bristol Sport Foundation’s chief community officer, Ben Breeze will speak at the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s 2018 Sport Summit in Westminster on July 11th.

The Summit, in association with Howden, will mark the official launch of the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s public-facing work around children and young people.

The conference will launch its research into how effectively the system has operated and asking the sector to sign a petition to build a system over the long-term, which offers high quality physical activities, with choice and the voice of young people at their heart.

The programme has been structured to bring government and the sector together to discuss how it can work better together and to learn from others who are winning against this ever-present challenge.

Ben Breeze, chief community officer at The Bristol Sport Foundation said: “It is a huge honour to be asked to speak about The Bristol Sport Foundation’s work at the annual Sport Summit in Westminster next month.

“As a charity that works with thousands of disadvantaged young people every year, it is a great opportunity to share ideas, best practise, and formulate a long-term system that will benefit our children and young people.”

“Over the past 12 months, the charity has made big strides on the national stage and this is another sign of our progress.

“As a charity that works with thousands of disadvantaged young people every year, it is a great opportunity to share ideas, best practise, and formulate a long-term system that will benefit our children and young people.”

James Allen, director at the Sport and Recreation Alliance said: "We're hugely excited about welcoming Ben (Breeze) to speak about the work of The Bristol Sport Foundation at our annual summit in Westminster.

“This event is all about showcasing the very best of innovative practice in bringing the benefits of sport into the lives of children and young people - particularly those who are the most excluded.

“We can't think of anyone better than Ben to articulate how this can work across a city and across multiple sports - and we know that our senior delegates from across government and the industry will benefit enormously.”
