The British Water Polo Championships return to Bristol this Saturday as Bristol Central take on City of Manchester at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre.
Bristol Central are at the half way stage of their campaign. The team got off to a fantastic start beating London Polytechnic 17-3 on the January 17th at home. Travelling to Scotland, Bristol suffered a narrow 4-5 defeat to Portobello before defeating Manchester 9 - 5 away last Saturday.
BCWC have been playing in the top water polo league in Britain since 1991. They have won the National League multiple times, most recently in 2010.
Coached since 2012 by Team GB captain Craig Figes the team has gone from strength to strength. During the 2012 season they competed in the British League Super 5 and represented Great Britain in Nice for the European LEN trophy.
The action gets underway at 5.30pm on Saturday, March 7th, with a beacon youth game, before a synchronised swimming display at 6.30pm, with the main event beginning at 6:45pm.
