Gloucestershire captain Gareth Roderick has been ruled out for six weeks after breaking his finger in the NatWest T20 Blast clash with Essex.
Roderick sustained the injury whilst keeping wicket in his side's victory over Essex Eagles on Sunday.
A statement from Gloucestershire CCC said: "Gloucestershire Cricket this morning have confirmed that Gareth Roderick subluxed his finger whilst keeping in Gloucestershire’s victory against Essex Eagles on Sunday.
"This will mean that Gareth will have surgery on his finger later this week and be out for up to six weeks.
"Everyone at the Club wishes Gareth a speedy recovery."
