Celebration of Sport Week returns to Ashton Gate for 2019

Celebration of Sport Week, a three-day festival of community sporting activity, returns to Ashton Gate Stadium from Monday, April 29th - Wednesday, May 1st.

Celebration of Sport Week brings together four sporting charities – Bristol Sport Foundation, Bristol City Community Trust, Bristol Bears Community Foundation and Bristol Flyers Community – with festivals, exhibitions and activities taking place throughout the stadium.

The highly-anticipated week is a chance for the charities to invite participants from their community programmes to Ashton Gate and celebrate the role that sport plays in many of our lives.

During the week, the charities will deliver training sessions, festivals and education workshops in the comfort of the 27,000-seat arena whilst giving people the chance to play on the same turf that so many of their heroes have graced.

The programme:

Monday (April 29th) sees the Bristol Sport Foundation showcase a multitude of sports from their Forever Sport programme, while Tuesday (April 30th) is dedicated to the work of Bristol Bears Community Foundation, culminating in the return of the Corporate Tag Rugby tournament in the evening.

Wednesday (May 1st) focuses on Bristol City Community Trust, with youngsters once again given the opportunity to emulate their heroes on the hallowed Ashton Gate turf.
