Chris Wood Wins Lyoness Open

Chris Wood, from Bristol, today claimed his second European Tour title, winning by two shots at the Lyoness Open.

The 27 year-old started the final round five shots off the pace, but produced a stunning 67, including 5 birdies, to secure his first victory since 2013.

Wood finished up 15 under, two better than his closest competitor, Rafa Cabrera-Bello from Spain.

The Bristol-born pro first stormed onto the scene in 2008, coming a whisker away from being the first amateur to win The Open since 1930, finishing fifth and winning the silver award for top amateur.
