City Unchanged At Villa

Lee Johnson names an unchanged starting line-up for City’s first visit to Villa Park since 1979.

Backed by a sold-out away end of around 2,400 travelling Bristolians, Johnson sticks with exactly the same 18-man squad that came away from then league leaders Newcastle United with a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Former City trio Jonathan Kodjia, Albert Adomah and Nathan Baker all start for the hosts.

Aston Villa: Johnstone, Hutton, Chester, Baker, Taylor, Gardner, Jedinak, Adomah, Lansbury, Green, Kodjia. Subs: Bunn, Elphick, Bree, Amavi, Bjarnason, Hourihane, Grealish.

Bristol City: Giefer, Vyner, Flint, Wright, Bryan, O'Neil, K.Smith, Cotterill, Reid, O'Dowda, Wilbraham. Subs: Fielding, Magnusson, Pack, Hegeler, Paterson, Tomlin, Taylor.

Referee: Mr S Hooper.
