Bristol City Community Trust held its annual induction day at Ashton Gate on Monday, 30th August for all newly enrolled students.
Having been accepted on to their respective courses, students from each of the Trust’s post-16 college courses were invited to meet their teachers and peers, familiarise themselves with the purpose-built facilities and collect their Bristol City kit before the courses commence on Monday, 5th September.
Commenting on the build-up to the new academic year, head of education Chris Stenner said: “Yesterday’s induction day was hugely successful and it was great to see all of the students in their kit and socialising with their class mates.
“There was great excitement amongst the students and sports lecturers alike and everyone is looking forward to the new academic year getting underway.
“The students’ attitude was fantastic, they were all enthusiastic and committed, and I hope their passion will continue throughout their studies.”
He added: “The number of opportunities available at the Trust are phenomenal and the students will have access to a variety of extra-curricular activities – it is a very exciting time for everyone associated with the Trust.
“The hard work starts now, but with everyone’s combined efforts, I am sure it will be a successful year.”
