

Bristol City Teams Up With South Bristol Sports Centre

Bristol City Community Trust will be hosting its annual Under-13s Girls Cup Competition on Thursday, November 24th at South Bristol Sports Centre (10.30am).
The English Football League Girls Cup comprises of a six-a-side competition for Under-13s (Years 7 and 8), which involves over 20,000 children creating one of the country’s largest national football competitions.
The competition is designed to inspire children to be active, healthy and develop a strong sense of team work, whilst providing them with the opportunity to live their dream and play on the Wembley pitch.
Each Football League Club organises a free Under-13s Girls Cup competition for any local schools wishing to participate. Please note each club is capped to a maximum of 16 schools, with places allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The preliminary round will see teams from across Bristol compete in a round-robin tournament, with the winning team qualifying for the regional finals, where they will represent Bristol City.
The winners of the divisional northern and southern finals will then progress to the national final, where they will have the unique opportunity to play on the Wembley pitch ahead of the EFL Sky Bet Championship Play-Off final.
