Diamond Relishes Olympic Opportunity

Bristol athlete Emily Diamond described her Olympic debut as ‘so much fun’ despite finishing sixth in her 400m semi-final in Rio de Janeiro.

The former Bristol Grammar School pupil, who was crowned British champion in June, missed out on a place in the event final, but thanked everyone for their support.

She tweeted: “That was so much fun out there tonight, I didn't want to leave the stadium! Thank you everyone for the lovely messages.”
