Foundation to hold netball academy trial

Bristol Sport Foundation (BSF) is pleased to announce an open netball trial (Thursday 27th September), in preparation for the launch of a new Bristol-based development academy for girls wanting to start out on the sport’s talent pathway.

The trial will give girls aged between eight and 16-years-old the chance to showcase their talents and to be selected to attend the netball academy, which start on Thursday, 18th October.

Full details of the trial are below, which is open to girls aged between eight and 16-years-old:
Date: Thursday, 27th September
Time: 6pm-8pm
Venue: Badminton School, Westbury Rd, Bristol BS9 3BA
Cost: £5 for the trial

Lynne Giles, netball development officer for BSF, said: “I am delighted to announce the first of two planned academies that we will be opening. The academy will offer talented netball players and athletes a performance environment and potential pathway to regional level netball.

If selected to attend the academy, children will attend weekly sessions, starting at 6pm on Thursday, 18th October at Badminton School. Full details, including how to book, will be issued at a later date.
