GALLERY: Who was in hospitality last weekend?

Last weekend saw Bristol Bears take on Wasps, on Friday night and Bristol City host Wolverhampton Wolves at Ashton Gate, in the FA Cup.

First up was Bristol Bears against Wasps - Pat Lam's men came up short of another stirring comeback against Wasps, as they fell to a 22-29 defeat at Ashton Gate on Friday.

Thomas Young, Tom Cruse and Nizaam Carr all crossed in a dominant opening 40 minutes from the visitors, as Dai Young’s side took a 16-point advantage into half-time.

Three tries in 15 minute second-half minutes saw Bristol claw their way back into the contest, as Harry Randall, Piers O’Conor and Charles Piutau gave Pat Lam’s side a lifeline after Will Rowlands had scored Wasps fourth on 52 minutes.

Lima Sopoaga landed a penalty to extend Wasps’ lead to seven points 16 minutes from time, but Bristol were unable to land another blow as Wasps stood firm late on, leaving the home side with a consolation losing bonus-point for their efforts.

Sunday saw Le Johnson's side take on Wolves in the FA Cup, but Bristol City’s Emirates FA Cup run ended after a 1-0 home defeat.

Ivan Cavaleiro was well placed to strike the vital first-half goal but the Premier League side were more than equalled by the in-form Championship team.

Cavaleiro converted Matt Doherty’s cross, before hitting the post himself, while the Robins pegged Wolves back in a positive second-half display, yet couldn’t force a goal of their own.

Both sides had their keepers to thank, with substitute Matty Taylor going close to flicking the ball in at the near post amidst the host’s push for an equaliser, but for the experienced John Ruddy.

This match saw over 1300 clients in the Lansdown Restaurant and the Heineken Lounge, enjoying hospitality, for both the Bristol Bears match and the Bristol City match.
