Haskins To Renew Hall Rivalry In Latest IBF Title Defence

Lee Haskins will renew his bitter rivalry with Stuart Hall in the second defence of his IBF World Bantamweight title at The 02 in London this September.

The long-awaited rematch between Haskins and former champion Hall will take place on the undercard to Kell Brook's middleweight superfight with Gennady Golovkin.

Haskins has the edge over his 36 year-old opponent, having beaten the Darlington-born boxer on points to claim the European Bantamweight title in 2012.

Hall is a former World Champion, holding the belt for a brief spell in early 2014 before losing the title on a split decision to Paul Butler.

Promoter Eddie Hearn is excited to see a World Title fight between two talented British boxers.

"September 10 has just become even bigger with this domestic world title grudge match added to the card," said Hearn.

"It's a real 50-50 clash and with the domestic 118lbs scene really hotting up, it's a must win for both fighters."

Haskins will be hoping for another strong performance following the Bristol southpaw's unanimous decision win over Ivan Morales in his first defence back in May.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, July 15th at midday from The O2 website or on 0844 856 0202, priced between £40 and £500. VIP tickets are £1,000 and available exclusively from the Matchroom Boxing website.
