Joe Bryan Named Trust's PFA Community Champion

Joe Bryan has been named the club’s PFA Community Champion for the 2016/17 season.

The 23-year-old was nominated for the award by Bristol City Community Trust’s head of operations Dan White in recognition for his continued support towards Children’s Hospice South West, amongst other community projects.

“Joe’s support of Children’s Hospice South West over the last year has been an inspiration,” said White.

“He’s not only spent time with the life-limited children, but he has also donated several items to the hospice to help create memories for the youngsters and their families.

“Since progressing into the club’s first-team setup, Joe has been a true professional both on and off the field and he is fully deserving of this award.”

John Hudson, PFA director of corporate social responsibility, added: “The PFA believes that players who make that extra effort and contribution during the season should be recognised for their support and involvement in the local community.

“This Award will hopefully raise awareness of the great contribution and importance many of our members attach to their roles off the pitch.

“We would like to offer our congratulations to this season’s recipient of the 2016/17 Community Champion Award.”
