Lansdown Club Member Kicks-off Community Rugby Programme

Benchmarx get behind Bristol Rugby Community Foundation to support their training camps for future rugby stars in Bristol.  

Benchmarx Kitchens and Joinery are supporting Bristol Rugby's community involvement with 'The Benchmarx Premier Rugby Academy'. The programme of seasonal training camps for keen youngsters will start over the Christmas holidays.

The nationwide company has more than 150 branches across the country and is celebrating the opening of their second branch in Bristol.

Branch manager Paul Mears said: “I’m really looking forward to heading up the new Benchmarx team in Bristol and it’s great that we are getting involved in the local rugby club.”

Bristol Rugby's Chris Brooker and Ben Glynn joined the Benchmarx staff at the new branch on Feeder Road. 

Chief community officer of Bristol Rugby Community Foundation, Ben Breeze said: “For Benchmarx getting involved in the community programme gives them the opportunity to support a wide demographic within the community and also have a strong matchday presence.”

Marketing manager at Benchmarx, Nick Archer has been involved with rugby clubs in the past and is looking forward to the partnership: “Bristol Sport has a fantastic vision and Bristol Rugby is a club that is really going places so we are excited to team up with them.”

He added: “I have done a lot with youth rugby before and I think its great to work with a company who give back to the community.”
