MSA Formula Championship
Snetterton
Saturday, August 8th, 3:10pm
Lando Norris has one eye on the title as MSA Formula battle recommences this weekend.
The 15-year-old Carlin driver sits comfortably in second place after results from Croft were amended last month following Ticktum’s exclusion for colliding with him in the first race.
Norris heads to Snetterton at the half-way stage of the competition, hoping to hit the ground running again and close the gap on leader Ricky Collard.
Norris said: “I’m really looking forward to racing in the Championship again. We’ve had six weeks off now, so I want to get back to winning ways at Snetterton as quickly as possible.
“We’re at the half-way stage and it’s about keeping the concentration in each race and getting the points. If I can get some podiums and wins, hopefully I have a real chance of closing the gap on the leader.”
Lando was hit on the final corner of the first race at Croft, which stopped him going top in the Championship. However, he has put the knock-back behind him and aims to get back to winning ways.
He added: “There’s still five weekends and 15 races left, so a long way to go. I’ll just take each race as it comes and see where it leaves me.”
Lando’s first race is at 3:10pm Saturday, August 8th.
