Preview: England v Australia Women's ODI In Bristol

Gloucestershire Cricket host the second of three Royal London One-Day Internationals in the Women's Ashes as England return to action after beating New Zealand earlier in the year.

England Captain, Charlotte Edwards, is aiming to lead England to a third consecutive Women's Ashes series victory this summer, with a very experienced squad named for the first three fixtures. Between the fourteen players there are 807 one-day international caps.

The Women's Ashes series begins today at the County Ground in Taunton, the team will then make the short journey to the Bristol County Cricket Ground for the second day on Thursday, July 23rd. The final 50-over match is on Sunday, July 26th at Worcestershire's New Road.

The three Royal London ODIs carry extra significance for both England and Australia as they will decide their third round of fixtures in the ICC Women's Championship which determine qualifications for the 2017 ICC Women's World Cup in England.

The match starts at 10:30am and will be covered live by Sky Sports. This is the first time since 2011 that international women's cricket has been played in Bristol.
