Sellebrity Soccer heads to Ashton Gate

Ashton Gate will welcome a star-studded line-up of top TV stars for Sellebrity Soccer’s charity football match on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, raising vital money for Just4Children.

I'm A Celebrity 2019 winner Jacqueline Jossa, EastEnders’ actor Jake Wood, singers James Arthur, Shayne Ward and Lee Ryan, as well as reality TV stars Calum Best, Dan Osborne and Jake Quickenden are all set to feature, as are the world’s most popular freestylers, Billy Wingrove and Jeremy Lynch, otherwise known as F2Freestylers.*

Ashton Gate Stadium could welcome up to 3,000 supporters for the match and have all measures in place to ensure the safety of the players and supporters, with social distancing implemented throughout.

Supporters who purchased tickets for the original event in 2020 have automatically been transferred to the rescheduled date and will receive email confirmation of this, with new tickets with revised seats.

The game will kick off at 3pm, with turnstiles opening at 1.30pm. Tickets are now on sale for just £15 (plus £1 booking fee). To purchase your tickets, please call 0117 963 0600 or click here.

Sellebrity Soccer’s co-founder, Kevin Cooper, said: “We are really pleased to have our rescheduled celebrity match date now in place at Ashton Gate Stadium. With the last 12 months having been so tough for everyone, it’s great we can bring some much-needed feel good factor in a safe and secure environment.

This year’s match is raising money for Just 4 Children – a charity that supports children and young people under the age of 25 with disabilities and sickness. Money raised from the match will go towards supporting ‘Dylan’s Pool’ campaign – funding a warm water hydrotherapy pool for 14-year-old Dylan Tillsley, who has cerebral palsy.

Dylan’s parents, Marc and Emma, said: “Thank you seems too small a word for the gratitude our family have towards everyone involved and supporting this game.

“For Dylan to be able to access a warm water pool at home, to complete daily hydrotherapy, will literally be life changing for Dylan and his growth as an independent young man.

“Thank you so much from all of us, for everyone’s kind support as this will mean so much to the whole family if we can achieve this goal.”

* Celebrities availability subject to change due to work commitments.
