Sports Bar Open For Euro 2016 Quarter-Finals

Hundreds of football fans were left shocked at Ashton Gate’s Sports Bar & Grill after Iceland inflicted a shock defeat on England in the last 16 of Euro 2016.

It looked promising when Wayne Rooney opened the scoring from the spot after just four minutes, but goals from Ragnar Sigurdsson and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson turned the tie on its head causing an embarrassing exit from the tournament for the Three Lions.

Despite England’s failure to progress, the Sports Bar & Grill will continue to show the remaining games in the tournament!

The venue has proved popular amongst the Polish community in Bristol and they will be welcome again for Poland's clash with Portugal in the first of the quarter-finals on Thursday, June 30th (8pm).

Wales are the final home nation left in the tournament and face Belgium on Friday, July 1st (8pm) for a place in the semi-final.

World champions Germany play Italy on Saturday night (8pm), while hosts France will need to be at their best to overcome surprise package Iceland.
