The Killers Concert: Travel Information

With just two days to go until The Killers play at Ashton Gate, concert-goers are urged to take advantage of special event Shuttle Buses laid on to help get fans to and from the stadium.

With no parking onsite, road closures and parking restrictions surrounding the immediate area of the stadium, fans attending Thursday’s concert have just 48 hours left to book their Shuttle Bus ticket as these must be purchased in advance of the concert.

The warning comes as most services are available only by pre-booking and with a last-minute heavy demand are expected to sell out.

First Bus is operating four routes to and from the stadium:

  • Portway Park & Ride
  • Brislington Park & Ride
  • Temple Meads and the City Centre
  • The Mall, Cribbs Causeway

Pre-event Shuttle Buses will operate frequently between 3pm – 7pm on Thursday.

Post-event buses will depart from near the stadium on Winterstoke Road. All your essential concert travel information can be found here.

Shuttle Buses get priority once the concert finishes and and are the only vehicles allowed inside the road closures.  Parking at the Shuttle Bus terminals is free, you just need to pay for the bus journey.

Tickets are subject to availability and likely to sell-out.

In 2019 concert shuttle buses were exceptionally popular with almost 6,000 people using them for each of the four Summer Series concerts. Due to limited capacities at the park and ride sites all services sold out during the week before each concert.

Big Green Coach is also operating services from Cardiff, Cheltenham, Exeter, Newport, Plymouth, Swansea, Taunton and Worcester while National Express have departures from Bridgwater, Highbridge, Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, Worle, Clevedon and Gordano services.

Both companies have drop-off and departure points close to Ashton Gate with special access through roads which are closed to the public. (Notably Ashton and Winterstoke Road).

Meanwhile, GWR has confirmed that they will have additional services operating from Parson Street station after the concert.

Full information on shuttle buses, inter-city coach travel, rail, road closures and pick-up points can be found at www.ashtongatestadium.co.uk/concerts/travel .
