VIDEO: Oscar At The Heart Of Abraham's Celebrations

City’s 4-0 victory over promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town was memorable for the majority of the 17,000 inside Ashton Gate, but none more so than Academy ballboy Oscar Collins.

In front of the Sky cameras, Lee Johnson’s side secured their biggest home win of the season, scoring twice in each half to climb out of the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone.

When Tammy Abraham doubled City’s advantage on the stoke of half-time, Oscar found himself at the heart of the Chelsea loanee’s celebration when he received a hug from the club’s top scorer.

“I was happy he scored the goal and when he came over and celebrated I was really pleased to be a part of it,” said the 12-year-old.

“When he ran over, I didn’t really know what to do, I was just glad I reacted well and didn’t act like an idiot!"

The City Under-12s central midfielder returned to training over the weekend, and, having embraced one of his idols, was certainly the big talking point amongst his team-mates.

“When I came to training on Saturday, people kept saying ‘I saw you yesterday’ and it was overwhelming – I was really pleased it happened to me and I had proof.

“My parents have been getting loads of tweets saying how lucky I am and how proud people are of me.”

Oscar’s mum Samantha, commented: “As soon as it happened I felt so excited for him.

“It is such a lovely thing for him (Tammy) to do because all these young boys aspire to be professional footballers and it is lovely he took the time out to give him a cuddle – it made his day!”

Oscar lists Abraham, along with Lee Tomlin and Aden Flint among his City heroes.
