Bristol City Women themselves are looking to bounce back from last week’s 3-0 home loss to Manchester City.
Just a point separates the two sides in the FA WSL 1 Spring Series table, with Birmingham City sitting in eighth and The Vixens in seventh.
FORM GUIDE
Both sides lost to Manchester City in their last game – Birmingham went down 4-1 in the FA Cup final while Bristol City were beaten 3-0 thanks to a Toni Duggan hat-trick.
Bristol City have won once in the Spring Series with three defeats, while Birmingham are yet to register a win and have two draws.
PREVIOUS MEETING
The two sides have not met since 2015 as they were in different divisions last season, but when they did meet back in 2015, it was the Blues who came out on top in the first game and the two sides shared the spoils in the return fixture.
Birmingham won 3-0 at the Stoke Gifford Stadium and the two sides drew 0-0 in the Midlands.
WHAT THEY SAID
Bristol City midfielder Millie Turner added:
“We’ve done well so far. We are a young team with not much experience.
“We are using every game well and learning from it. I think this tournament will stand us in really good stead for the winter league.”
