The Bristol Grand Prix Cycling Road Race will take place over a challenging 1.3km figure-of-eight course – with races lasting up to 45 minutes each. The following categories will be available:
- 2.30pm ‘Love My Bike’ lap for public entry
- 3.00pm Under 18s boys and girls
- 3.45pm Corporate relay race
- 4.45pm Men’s category 3 and 4
- 5.45pm Women’s elite category 1,2,3 and 4
- 6.45pm Men’s elite category 1 and 2
Bristol Sport will provide t-shirts for all participants and volunteers taking part in the event.
The event has been driven by Nicola Waterworth, a Bristol-based cyclist with a passion for making cycling accessible to all.
She has worked with Big Green Week and Le Sportif to make the race a reality.
Nicola commented “sport inspires people and can transform lives, the Bristol Grand Prix Race will do just that.
“It is an exciting event that adds greater momentum to #GetBristolCycling.
“I’m really pleased that Bristol Sport is backing us in this venture, and hope that this event will become a mainstay of the national cycling calendar in years to come.”
