The 23-year-old proved making the bold move to change teams ahead of Silverstone was the right decision after winning both his races that weekend.

Zamparelli commented: “It had been over three years since I last won a race and so it was a dream come true.”

He added: “I had to keep my head cool for the last few laps as I was getting too excited but I am so glad I finally drove like I knew I could.”

The GT Marques driver goes into the final round of the Porsche Carrera Cup at Brands Hatch this weekend and is now just six points away from the current Rookie Of The Year leader.

Dino is feeling confident after his success last time out: “The big pressure was on last weekend to perform with the new team and we got the results straight away, so I think we can only get stronger.“

Dino’s first race is on Sunday, October 11th at 10:35am.
