Bristol Bears, Bristol City and Bristol Flyers have signed up to the Sports for Climate Action Framework and Race to Zero.
This sets us a target of reducing our Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 50% by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2040.

This doesn’t mean compromising the fun, community or culture we have. It just requires us to do some things differently and better.
It will help our fans, our community and even our

There’s no magic trick or secret. We simply aim, where possible to…

- Promote sustainable travel of supporters, staff and visitors
- Sustainably source all materials and supplies
- Use the power of sport to promote environmentally friendly behaviour
- Partner with organistations who are aligned with our vision
Why?
The world is changing and society is changing. In recent years we’ve been increasingly challenged to be greener by fans, sponsors, clients and staff…and rightly so.
We have a duty of care to our city, our neighbours, our fans and the planet which hosts everything we do. Looking ahead it’s also critical to our business model. We don’t know exactly what regulations, taxes and rules will be implemented in the future but we can be certain that all businesses will need to adapt. By starting the hard work now we’re protecting the clubs’ futures.
Finally and most importantly it’s the right thing to do.
How Far Will You Go and When Will the Project Finish?
We don’t know yet. This is very much the start of the journey and we’re asking our fans, partners and staff to go on it with us.
We believe a fully sustainable future is possible and most of the practices adopted during Project Whitebeam will become the new normal – fully incorporated into a 21st century modus operandi.
We may not be able to save the world but we can do our bit and we hope to inspire others.
